NSF SaTC Aspiring PI Travel Fund 2024

This travel grant is awarded to 84 potential grant writers for NSF SaTC program out of 218 applicants in 2024 to attend the workshop in-person in University of Chicago Campus.

This is a competitive $3500 stipend award for writing external grants provided by University Research Council (URC) at AppState for supporting proposal writing for external funding agencies. I did not use it as I left AppState after summer 2023.

This is a $3000 one time award/scholarship for finishing PhD earlier than estimated graduation semester.

This is a $1000 one time award/scholarship for maintaining good academic standings.

This award covered my tuition expenses and provided me with tax-free monthly stipends for my living and other expenses.

Our team (6 student members) has won $21,000 worth of prize money for a proposal on how to tackle COVID-19 themed health-related misinformation dissemination in social media. The challenge was organized by UTSA Graduate School and the office of the Vice President for Research, Economic Development, and Knowledge Enterprise (VPREDKE). Our cross-disciplinary team has proposed the idea by incorporating tools and techniques from Data Science, NLP, Software Engineering, and Social Psychology fields, which was widely appreciated by all the judges and reviewers. We were featured in UTSA today (media coverage) for the award.

2nd Place, Engineering and CS Poster Presentation, 17th Graduate Research Symposium, UNCC [Mar 2017]

I have won $200 as cash prize money for securing 2nd place among Engineering and Computer Science posters in the 17th Graduate Research Symposium organized by UNC Charlotte graduate school.
